About the role

  • You will build the company’s Learning & Development function conceptually, structurally and operationally, and further develop it for the long term.
  • You will work particularly closely with the Head of HR, and also with executive management, line managers and the works council.
  • Establish and lead the Learning & Development area
  • Develop a company-wide learning and development strategy
  • Qualification concepts for operational/industrial and administrative employees
  • Develop leadership programs (foremen, team leaders, management)
  • Advance talent management and succession planning processes
  • Competency management and skills analyses
  • Design modern learning formats for production and administration
  • Advise executive management and line managers
  • Collaborate with the works council, training providers and external partners
  • Support organizational development and transformation processes
  • Operational delivery of selected trainings and workshops

Requirements

  • Completed university degree, e.g., Human Resource Management / Personnel Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration with an HR focus, Pedagogy / Adult Education, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in learning & development, ideally in a leadership or project-responsible role
  • Experience in an industrial environment with operational/industrial employees
  • Knowledge of working with the works council and collective bargaining structures (IG Metall)
  • Experience setting up learning & development instruments and development programs
  • Strategic and structured, yet pragmatic way of working
  • Strong communication and consulting skills
  • Assertiveness and a strong drive to shape and implement initiatives
