About the role
- Assist in developing, delivering, and implementing the MWC training and learning curriculum for MWC team members in an organized and strategic approach
- Review and improve training practices and materials to increase effectiveness
- Coach and train new and recently promoted leaders through the leadership program
- Partner with site teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to design and implement strategic training plans for Vacation Reliefs, Assistant Team Leaders, Team Leaders, and other assigned roles
- Collaborate with other site Leadership Training Specialists and COEs to deliver annual corporate training initiatives and projects
- Assess training and development options and recommend the best approaches and tools
- Create, deliver, and facilitate monthly leadership training to strengthen coaching, development, legal knowledge, retention, engagement, and team culture
- Conduct audits to verify supervisors follow SOPs and use trained leadership tools
- Partner with Site Leadership and HR to support talent development, performance improvement, and individual development plans as needed
- Maintain training documentation, certification records, and related status reports/presentations
- Coordinate, schedule, and track New Employee Orientation, Next In Line Leadership Training, and New Leader Bootcamp
- Participate in interviews for MWC candidates as needed
- Support GPS processes, drive zero losses, and uphold Southwest Cheese non-negotiables
- Comply with all applicable safety, health, and food safety regulations and requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports/procedures and present information to groups
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business/technical information, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Comfort with basic math (fractions/decimals), rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to interpret simple charts/graphs
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and apply them to solve practical problems
- Proficient computer skills (email, recordkeeping, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools)
- Demonstrated teamwork and a proactive approach to achieving departmental and company goals
- Ability to lead by example and share knowledge and skills with others
- Follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures and report unsafe conditions or activities
