About the role
- Own the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Lead complex revenue recognition under ASC 606 for subscription and usage-based models, including deferred revenue, contract modifications, and commission capitalization.
- Oversee daily operational accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP), expense management, and payroll processing.
- Coordinate annual financial audits and tax preparation, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Directly manage and mentor the accounting team while partnering closely with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must have prior accounting leadership experience in a technology or SaaS company that has scaled past $50M in revenue.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP with verifiable experience in ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) as applied to recurring revenue/SaaS business models.
- Proven expertise with NetSuite and familiarity with financial reporting tools is required.
- Previous experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm (Audit or Advisory) is highly desirable, and an active CPA license is preferred.
