About the role
- Improve, monitor, and maintain customer quality performance ratings
- Collect, analyze, and interpret performance and defect data to drive root cause corrective actions (RCCA) and reduce cost of poor quality
- Serve as the primary customer interface for quality-related inquiries, issues, and escalations
- Lead structured root cause analysis and problem resolution activities across manufacturing cells
- Drive timely and effective corrective action responses for both internal findings and customer-initiated corrective actions
- Conduct process, product, and system audits to ensure compliance with AS/ISO standards and internal procedures
- Evaluate and disposition nonconforming product; verify closure and effectiveness of corrective actions
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and present results to customer representatives as required
- Facilitate product delivery activities with customer and government oversight agencies
- Prepare and report daily, weekly, and monthly quality metrics
- Track corrective actions and improvement initiatives through full implementation and control phases
- Ability to work weekends as needed to support production and customer demand
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
- 0–1 years of professional quality experience in aerospace manufacturing (or 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing in lieu of degree)
- 0–1 year of experience with AS/ISO quality standards in a manufacturing environment
- Quality accreditation or certification (e.g., CQE, CQA) preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Minitab preferred
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems, inspection processes, FAI, and PRB/MRB activities
- Lean, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma experience or certification
