About the role

As the dedicated Product Designer for our Runner Fleet team, you'll create intuitive management interfaces and dashboards that help platform administrators efficiently manage their build infrastructure at enterprise scale, identify performance bottlenecks, and reduce operational costs
You'll collaborate with your triad team of Product Manager and Engineering Manager to solve complex data visualization challenges while ensuring enterprise customers can scale their development operations efficiently
Your designs will serve some of the world's largest development teams managing thousands of runners and processing massive CI/CD workloads
Working closely with other CI/CD and the AI/ML teams, you'll design predictive insights and machine learning-powered recommendations that help customers optimize their CI/CD operations
Communicate your design thinking through wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs
Engage with our user base and GitLab community to understand pain points in CI/CD infrastructure management
Contribute to our Design System, alongside the rest of the UX team and GitLab community

Experience designing B2B/Enterprise software that serves complex workflows, admin interfaces, and SaaS products for mid to large organizations
Background in developer tools design, particularly DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure management, and technical product interfaces
Demonstrated expertise in user research methods including usability testing, user interviews, and solution validation
Experience fostering collaboration across multiple product teams and stakeholders
Experience in data visualization design with knowledge of dashboards, metrics interfaces, and analytics UX
Proficiency in Figma including prototyping, design systems, component libraries, and collaborative design workflows
Familiarity with Git and understanding of CI/CD workflows and infrastructure concepts
Portfolio showcasing complex enterprise software design solutions with measurable user impact
