About the role

  • Implement new features and improve and maintain existing ones in collaboration with Engineering, Product, Security, and Quality teams
  • Work in tandem with Sec Section to deliver products that protect customers' applications and provide confidence to deliver secure software
  • Communicate directly with customers, open source contributors, and product management to create a lovable experience used by thousands of users
  • Gather security-relevant data (reachability analysis, supply chain poisoning detection, attribution of vulnerabilities)
  • Integrate collection techniques to provide other groups with means to deliver better customer workflows
  • Optimize data correlation and performance at massive scale
  • Craft secure, well-tested, and performant Golang code meeting internal standards and participate in code reviews
  • Recognize and address technical debt and propose/implement solutions
  • Participate in Tier 2/3 on-call rotations and the reaction rotation for security, support, and maintenance issues

Requirements

  • Professional experience with Golang
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is a bonus
  • Passion about security
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale
  • Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset
  • An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility
  • Experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills
