About the role
- Lead proactive sourcing for senior and highly specialised roles across the entire organisation, identifying top-tier talent for both tech and non-tech functions.
- Partner with Hiring Managers from all departments to understand the "non-negotiables" and translate them into effective search strings and outreach plans.
- Identify and inhabit the spaces where top talent hangs out—moving beyond LinkedIn to engage with candidates in their specific professional communities.
- Manage direct outreach and maintain trust-based relationships with potential candidates, ensuring a high-touch, professional experience from the first point of contact.
- Develop and nurture "Business as Usual" talent pools for recurring roles across various functions, allowing for rapid activation when vacancies open.
- Work closely with recruiters to provide regular updates on pipeline strength and surface potential risks or constraints early.
- Support the team during peak periods by conducting initial screening calls, assessing high-level fit, motivation, and technical/functional alignment.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of job postings on our careers site and ensure our salary data remains transparent and up to date.
- Conduct thorough reference checks for recurring roles, ensuring we maintain our high standards of accountability and integrity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in-house or in an agency (permanent placement) with a strong track record in technical and specialised recruitment.
- A deep understanding of IT roles (software engineers, DevOps, data roles, etc.) coupled with the ability to quickly grasp the requirements of non-technical senior functions.
- Expert-level skills in Boolean search, headhunting, and using diverse platforms to find "passive" talent across different industries.
- Exceptional English skills with a high-touch, empathetic approach to candidate outreach.
- Proficiency with tracking tools like Jira, Asana, BambooHR, or other ATS platforms.
- A commitment to being impact-driven and "doing the right thing" within a remote, multicultural environment.
