About the role
- Lead and manage a team of direct reports, including hiring and developing diverse top talent.
- Collaborate with Statistical Programming, Biostatistics, Clinical Research, Global Drug Safety, and Project Management to meet project deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements regarding statistical principles and objectives.
- Negotiate project timelines and manage staffing plans.
- Oversee and contribute to completion of all technical and operational statistical activities for multiple development programs.
- Provide overall leadership for departmental strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- PhD with 8 years of industry experience OR Masters degree with 10 years of experience or Bachelors degree with 14 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the business beyond the area of Biostatistics
- Experience setting up and influencing collaborations with external academic or government organizations
- Ability to set up data monitoring committees for clinical studies.
- Experience using competitive intelligence to influence clinical development strategies.
