About the role
- Define the chip strategy and roadmap based on use cases, ensuring product competitiveness in cost, performance, and total cost of ownership (init, pre‑perso, perso)
- Manage the complete product portfolio throughout its lifecycle
- Evaluate trade‑offs (throughput, cost allocation, resources) and make informed optimization decisions
- Consolidate market and customer needs into actionable technical specifications aligned with product capabilities and roadmap
- Act as technical expert/consultant for sales, proposal management, and delivery to guide optimal solution design
- Ensure end‑to‑end product certification and qualification, including field performance and system functionality tests (PoC validation included)
- Serve as key interface with the Solutions Business Line to define and oversee system architecture for complex solutions (ID/Documents, middleware, personalization HW/SW, field verification)
- Ensure the chip team meets strategic objectives.
- Manage team budget, resources, and full lifecycle responsibilities: chip strategy, roadmap, P&L, and coordination of chip R&D projects (BRL, cost control, prioritization)
- Drive the smart/embedded ID product business and steer the portfolio for short‑, mid‑ and long‑term needs to maintain competitiveness
- Ensure the Chip Team delivers on all strategic and operational objectives, with full responsibility for budget, resource allocation, and lifecycle‑aligned planning
- Own the end‑to‑end Chip Strategy, Roadmap, and P&L, and coordinate all Chip R&D activities (BRL, cost control, prioritization)
- Steer the smart/embedded ID product business and guide the portfolio for short‑, mid‑ and long‑term market needs to maintain product competitiveness
Requirements
- Engineering degree, ideally in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of the Identity business ecosystem, including standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements relevant to ID documents and secure embedded products
- Project Management Background and strong technical understanding of product, personalization system architecture, and integration principles
- Proven track record in delivering complex, multi‑component solutions within high‑security environments
- Strong ability to assess technical, financial, and economic solution options and provide strategic recommendations
- Familiarity with secure embedded chip technologies, document personalization systems, ICAO standards, NIST guidelines, and secure document testing frameworks; solid knowledge of Chip OS, applications, and cryptography in the ID business
- Data‑driven decision-making approach with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent coordination capabilities across cross‑functional teams and strong communication skills at all stakeholder levels
- Solution‑oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure
- Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally.
