Day-to-day accounting operations including GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and close
Managing and developing a small accounting team; reviewing work and keeping deadlines on track
Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Supporting audits, tax filings, and related documentation
Supporting ERP implementation and system upgrades (current system includes AS400)
Identifying process improvements, strengthening controls, and increasing efficiency
Stepping into hands-on transactional work when needed
Partnering cross-functionally and communicating clearly with leadership

Requirements

5+ years of accounting management experience with experience as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller
Manufacturing accounting experience
Strong technical accounting foundation (GL, close, reconciliations, reporting)
Experience with ERP implementations or major system upgrades
Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate accounting staff
Comfortable operating at both a high level and in the details
Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and with leadership
Thrives in a lean, fast-paced, growth-driven environment
