About the role
- Drive the transformation of GFD’s trust business into a nation-wide federally regulated Trust company
- Lead the activities to obtain the requisite regulatory approvals to form the new subsidiary
- Play a pivotal role in shaping and launching a new subsidiary, contributing strategic financial insight from inception through go‑live
- Drive regulatory readiness by leading key components of compliance, reporting, and operational setup for the newly formed subsidiary
- Assess business requirements and lead the selection, implementation, and testing of financial systems that support capital adequacy, risk management, and regulatory reporting
- Develop and refine the policies, procedures, job profiles, and operational frameworks needed to ensure the subsidiary’s successful and sustainable operation
Requirements
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) active and in good standing
- 10-15 years of proven experience in a regulated environment such as trust, banking, or investment wealth
- 5+ years of experience working with regulatory requirements for OSFI regulated entities
