About the role

  • Drive the transformation of GFD’s trust business into a nation-wide federally regulated Trust company
  • Lead the activities to obtain the requisite regulatory approvals to form the new subsidiary
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and launching a new subsidiary, contributing strategic financial insight from inception through go‑live
  • Drive regulatory readiness by leading key components of compliance, reporting, and operational setup for the newly formed subsidiary
  • Assess business requirements and lead the selection, implementation, and testing of financial systems that support capital adequacy, risk management, and regulatory reporting
  • Develop and refine the policies, procedures, job profiles, and operational frameworks needed to ensure the subsidiary’s successful and sustainable operation

Requirements

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) active and in good standing
  • 10-15 years of proven experience in a regulated environment such as trust, banking, or investment wealth
  • 5+ years of experience working with regulatory requirements for OSFI regulated entities
