About the role
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the pharma packaging segment.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, customer visits, and competitive analysis.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with pharmaceutical companies, contract manufacturers, and distributors.
- Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution-based discussions with clients.
- Manage complete sales cycle: lead generation, enquiry handling, technical discussions, commercial negotiations, and order finalization.
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, quality, R&D, logistics) for quotation preparation, sample development, delivery schedules, and technical documentation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and regulatory changes relevant to pharma packaging.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and performance analytics for management review.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, GMP requirements, and customer-specific compliance norms.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars, and client meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/ MBA in Marketing / Sales
- 5–10 years of sales experience in the pharma packaging industry (e.g., primary packaging, secondary packaging, blister foils, bottles, caps & closures, labels, cartons, flexible packaging).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in B2B pharma markets.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging materials, specifications, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and packaging requirements.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and data-driven sales reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent networking skills and ability to develop key accounts.
- Ability to travel regularly for client visits, meetings, and business development activities.
