Systems Engineer

• Develops, administers, maintains, and supports policies and procedures for creating interfaces and converting data from clients' existing and legacy systems to Geographic Solutions systems
• Designs programming specifications through interaction with business owners and subject matter experts
• Ensures correct functionality and accuracy of interface or conversion scripts
• Fully participates in data conversion and data migration projects
• Designs advanced SQL queries, scripts, cursors, stored procedures, triggers and optimizes SQL code for performance
• Assists business analysts and end-users with reporting needs and collaborates with applications developers to ensure correct data and data structure
• Works closely with Team Lead and Analysts throughout change request process and processes change requests through OPC ticket system
• Estimates level of effort required for projects or change requests and prepares/updates technical documentation

• Responsible for the Software Development life cycle using the GRID methodology specifically designed for the Geographic Solutions
• The ideal candidate will be accountable for leading and managing the implementation of workforce development and/or software solutions for state and regional clients
• Responsibilities will also include managing workforce development and/or Unemployment Compensation software products for Virtual One Stop clients in order to assess client needs, meet and exceed client expectations in terms of quality of product and service, and manage the delivery of robust software solutions
• Viable candidates must be willing to travel onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida as needed
