About the role
- Design and prototype AI-driven solutions to categorize, route, and automate internal data requests, reducing manual overhead for the broader engineering team.
- Analyze the current data operations workflow and implement improvements to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, data quality, and deployment processes with AI.
- Assist senior engineers in maintaining libraries and services (such as Airflow) and Databricks jobs.
- Work with stakeholders to understand the "pain points" of data access and translate those into requirements for automated AI tools.
- Manage code and learn to apply "production-grade" standards to your pilot code.
- Document the new Data Ops workflows and AI tool usage to facilitate a self-serve environment for product teams.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- You have functional skills in Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and SparkSQL to manipulate datasets during the discovery phase.
- Familiarity with database concepts (SQL or NoSQL) and have an interest in bridging database technology with product requirements.
- You have a strong interest in leveraging AI to automate workflows and optimize data requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain your technical AI initiatives and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
