💰 $140,000 - $155,000 per year

About the role

  • Review and negotiate contracts for design, architecture and related professional services.
  • Engage with business management to balance opportunities and challenges and make informed business decisions.
  • Manage project issues, including allegations of design and construction deficiencies.
  • Work with project teams to mitigate potential claims and escalate response as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver legal training for Gensler’s technical staff.
  • Advise on general business issues (collections, staffing, licensure, etc.).

Requirements

  • Active bar admission
  • 3-5 years of law firm or in house experience (transactional or litigation) with experience in or a demonstrated interest in the design and construction industry
  • Strong emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences and creatively resolve negotiation barriers.
  • Administrative self-sufficiency.
  • Periodic travel required.
