About the role
- Provide tactical and analytical support for financial close for business activities related primarily to the Land segment.
- Prepare monthly financial closing including journal entries, analysis and financial review.
- Develop detailed account reconciliations including analytics and flux analysis.
- Support FP&A and other finance teams in management reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate, collaborate with, and provide support to Middle Office, Operations and Commercial Teams.
- Adhere to corporate policies, US GAAP and predefined SOX controls to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete.
- Work closely with middle and back office teams and support Commercial organization on various activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS, BA, etc.) in Finance or Accounting.
- Relevant experience as a Junior or staff-level accounting role.
- Preferably experience in accounting for complex revenues, derivatives and commodities inventory.
- Must understand the flow of information and interaction of systems (ETRM and ERP).
- Be vocal in highlighting areas of issues and concerns.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment (preferred).
- Experience with agile practices (a plus).
- CPA or CPA candidate (preferred).
- Norwegian language (role title specifies Norwegian).
