About the role
- R-item investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into financial discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts: Ensure all balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled and discrepancies are addressed.
- Month-end close activities: Oversee month-end close processes, including payroll, overheads, profit and loss (PL) and balance sheet (BS) review, reclassifications, manual journal entry preparation, and approval.
- Bank open items: Manage and resolve open items related to bank transactions.
- Support to business units: Provide financial insights and support to various business units to aid decision-making.
- Support to financial planning and analysis (FP&A): Collaborate with FP&A teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
- Intercompany transactions: Manage intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Manual invoices request: Raise manual invoice requests efficiently.
- Training and development: Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their financial knowledge and skills.
- Team meetings: Lead regular team meetings to discuss financial strategies and updates.
- Management declaration: Prepare management declarations as required.
- Financial statements: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Group audits and statutory audits: Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Dividends management: Oversee dividend distribution processes.
- Tax compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including corporate income tax (CIT) and other taxes.
- Other finance & accounting ad-hoc requests as per requirements to manage BS/P&L accounts.
Requirements
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and auditing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
