About the role
- Develop, support, and execute visual merchandising communication and presentation standards across assigned Journeys Group concepts
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to maintain visual consistency, enhance in-store brand storytelling, visual experience
- Assist with seasonal strategies that strengthen brand identity and improve overall customer experience
- Support the planning and execution of visual merchandising communication initiatives by coordinating development, production, photography, and document design
- Strategize and collaborate cross-functionally to develop concept-specific visual communication
- Provide store support for locations that reach out via email and portal feedback
- Support the VM team by participating in collaborative decision-making
- Coordinate and collaborate on the development of visual standards, training content, hardware guidelines
- Assist with the organization and execution of in-studio photo shoots
- Work closely with Buying and Merchandising partners to translate seasonal priorities and product placement guidance
- Support the ongoing creation and maintenance of computer aided design (CAD) materials
- Coordinate deployment and maintain content on store platforms for seasonal and promotional visual communication materials
- Collaborate and support the planning and execution of sign kit elements
- Support new or test visual communication projects, strategy instructions, or fixture enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Design or Art preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, InDesign and Mac operating system
- Journeys retail store management experience (minimum 2+ years store management experience) or other varied retail experience
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in digital photography and editing
- A passion for visual merchandising, design, and retail presentation trends
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-50 pounds for display shifting and moving VM items
- Some travel required
