Lead and grow a team of system engineering managers and senior engineers within the Finance, Corporate Development and Legal organization.
Provide clear strategy and direction, aligning team goals with business objectives while ensuring high quality execution and on time delivery of platforms to support the organization.
Drive cross functional collaboration across Core IT, Business Application, and platform supplier teams to ensure alignment with GM statement of technical direction and ensure application security fitness across FCDL organization.
Evaluate system functionality and performance and advocate for optimizations that reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining service reliability.
Lead, implement and improve monitoring and observability frameworks, enabling proactive detection and resolution of incidents with minimal manual intervention.
Work alongside engineers, systems configurators, and platform suppliers to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our services while identifying opportunities to inject new innovations.
Develop people resource plans, actively support skill and competency growth, and align responsibilities with individual strengths through ongoing career development conversations.
Conduct deep-dive analyses of incidents and collaborate on post-incident reviews to derive learnings and prevent recurrence.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields or equivalent work experience.
Experience leading technical teams through highly sophisticated application platform builds, upgrades, and migrations to new technologies.
Proven experience in maintaining and improving complex application platforms such as SAP, Hyperion, OneStream and Legal suite of applications including application fitness, performance tuning, automation, reliability and related tools.
Experience with migrating from COTS to Cloud solutions, working closely with software suppliers and ensuring timely ILM of historical data.
Solid understanding of operating systems, networking, distributed systems, databases, and storage architectures including cloud native technologies.
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor managers and senior engineers while fostering a high-performance, people-first culture.
Experience handling production incidents, including root cause analysis, mitigation, and working through complex system failures.
Strong communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to both engineering and business stakeholders.
Commitment to collaborative problem-solving and shared ownership of services.
Proactively keeps up to date with latest advances in software engineering technologies using available forums.
