About the role
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the software, mechanical, and manufacturing spaces to ensure successful integration of network technologies electrical design.
- Perform detailed hardware analysis, including worst-case analysis, signal integrity, and power integrity.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop requirements and test specifications.
- Develop a clear test strategy, covering all aspects of development.
- Lead bench test execution throughout the development lifecycle.
- Establish domain expertise for semiconductors and electronic control unit product lines within scope of responsibility.
- Manage technology roadmaps in close collaboration with industry leaders.
Requirements
- 5+ total years of engineering experience at an OEM, OR at a semiconductor supplier, OR at a Tier 1 ECU supplier.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in electronic hardware design and development.
- Ethernet Experience; technical expertise to design, test, and implement high-speed, in-vehicle communication networks.
- Strong proficiency in circuit design, schematic creation, and PCB layout.
- Experience in hardware design tools such as Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Xpedition and ORCAD.
- Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters Network Analyzers (Vector (VNAs) CAN, LIN).
- BS in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Working knowledge of automotive electronic hardware and automotive software architecture.
- Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability for working across functional and organizational boundaries.
- Exceptional demonstrated experience leading projects to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to learn quickly.
