About the role
- Design and implement complex features and services within multi-tier, cloud-native systems on Azure
- Contribute to system and application architecture and design discussions
- Own features across the full software development lifecycle, from design through production support
- Translate business and product requirements into clear, maintainable technical solutions
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards
- Participate in code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through collaboration and example
- Identify and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, security, and maintainability within owned areas
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality software
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 7-8+ years of professional software development experience in an agile environment
- Strong experience building cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including managed services
- Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and distributed system fundamentals
- Proven experience delivering customer-facing applications or services
- Full-stack: applied development experience, with: Java for backend services and APIs, Angular for modern web front ends, PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- AI/ML: applied development experience with building or integrating capabilities in production systems, such as: Consuming predictive or analytical models, Integrating generative AI (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, prompt workflows), Implementing AI-powered features within existing applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
