About the role
- Work in a fast-paced environment partnering with business, technology, and platform teams to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of Salesforce systems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in Salesforce and integrated systems, ensuring minimal downtime and timely communication to stakeholders.
- Responsible for maintaining, automating, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines using Copado and other DevOps tools.
- Analyze and resolve code conflicts, reviewing Apex classes, triggers, and metadata deployments to ensure smooth and error-free releases.
- Use SOQL and Salesforce Developer Console for debugging, performance optimization, and data validation.
- Manage and optimize user permissions, profiles, roles, and personas, ensuring secure and compliant access control.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and observability dashboards, with an emphasis on proactive alerting and system reliability.
- Support and collaborate on incident response, root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Integrate Salesforce with Event Hub and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless event-driven communication.
- Collaborate with MuleSoft integration teams to design, test, and monitor data flows across systems.
- Analyze logs, telemetry, and metrics to identify patterns and opportunities for automation or optimization.
- Partner with engineering and business teams to drive reliability engineering best practices, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Document procedures, incident resolutions, and system runbooks to promote knowledge sharing and consistency.
- Stay current on Salesforce platform releases, observability frameworks, and emerging reliability engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting and engineering Salesforce platforms with a focus on reliability, performance, and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities, and Force.com platform.
- Proficiency in SOQL, Apex, and Salesforce metadata management.
- Hands-on experience with Copado or equivalent CI/CD and DevOps tools.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, triage, and resolve incidents under pressure in a dynamic production environment.
- Familiarity with Event Hub, MuleSoft, and integration troubleshooting.
- Experience using observability tools such as Mulesoft Logs, Datadog, to monitor system health and performance.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, including profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
