About the role
- Assist in configuring, deploying, and managing network firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco).
- Monitor firewall logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Support troubleshooting of firewall-related issues and network connectivity problems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement firewall rules and policies.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts.
- Document firewall configurations, changes, and incident responses.
- Stay current with emerging threats and firewall technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnets, routing, NAT).
- Familiarity with firewall technologies and security principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have a strong ability and willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
