About the role
- Partner with warehouse operations, supply chain, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and data-driven insights.
- Elicit, document, and prioritize business, system, and integration requirements related to WMS, AMRs, AS/RS, and supporting platforms.
- Lead requirements gathering and facilitation sessions, asking probing questions to understand end-to-end business processes and capture current- and future-state process flows.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the business community and IT teams, including development, quality assurance, infrastructure, and vendors.
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of warehouse automation solutions, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics; partner with analytics teams to design reports and dashboards that drive visibility and decision-making.
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects by managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Assist the business with incident and problem management related to warehouse systems; lead root-cause analysis and planning efforts to reduce recurring issues.
- Stay current on emerging trends in warehouse automation, robotics, and supply chain technology, bringing forward recommendations and best practices.
- Mentor and support other business analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner within supply chain, warehousing, or logistics environments.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems and familiarity with warehouse automation technologies, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and AS/RS.
- Proven ability to translate complex operational processes into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Experience working in highly automated or high-volume distribution environments.
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel) and experience consuming BI and reporting platforms such as Cognos, Jira, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, IT, and vendor teams.
- Highly collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
