About the role
- Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure
- Managing servers, ensuring system availability, and implementing solutions to improve system performance and security
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise backup and restore strategies across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, virtualized environments, cloud)
- Monitor daily backup operations and perform regular restores to validate data integrity and recovery procedures
- Manage backup tools and technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Rubrik, or similar
- Troubleshoot, report, and resolve backup-related incidents and failures
- Ensure backup systems are aligned with data retention, compliance, and disaster recovery policies
- Participate in disaster recovery testing and planning activities
- Optimize backup strategies to reduce storage costs and improve performance
Requirements
- 15+ years of related experience
- Master’s Degree (Substitutions will be based on additional years of experience)
