Investigates and analyzes potential online threats to an organization's computer systems and networks
Monitor for malicious activity, assess vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks
Examining data to identify, assess, and understand cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks within an organization's IT infrastructure
Use various techniques and tools to monitor, analyze, and interpret data to detect and respond to cyberattacks, prevent incidents, and improve security posture
Design and administer procedures to sustain security of the organization’s data and access to technology and communication systems
Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms, access procedures and forms of access
Review, collate, understand and present data to meet remediation needs
Automate data extrapolation, organization and dissemination
Review, investigate and assign cybersecurity vulnerabilities for applications, systems and hardware, including cloud computing
Manage several projects/initiatives and support vulnerability documentation, validation and remediation processes
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for USPS VRM process and provide guidance to stakeholders and business units
Conduct presentations to varying audiences and technical knowledge levels
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related fields OR equivalent work experience (additional 4 years required if no relevant degree)
3+ years of experience in Cyber Security Risk Projects
Design and administer procedures to sustain security of data and access
Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through platform/access weaknesses
Ability to review, collate, understand and present data from various sources
Knowledge of automation coding to automate data extrapolation, organization and dissemination
Ability to review, investigate and assign cybersecurity vulnerabilities including cloud computing
Manage several projects/initiatives of various sizes, complexities and risks
Proficiency in evaluating and supporting documentation, validation and remediation processes
Ability to review and understand security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines
Experience with vulnerability remediation and remediation tools
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR)
Ability to serve as SME for the USPS VRM process
Strong organizational skills and ability to build and maintain schedules and action plans
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and meet U.S. residency requirement (resided in U.S. for last five years; limits on travel for citizens and non-citizens)
