About the role
- Responsible for developing innovative strategies for the indirect and direct IT Network/Telecom spend category
- Conduct detailed supply market research
- Establish and leverage relationships with large-scale hardware OEMs
- Develop strategies for gaining the best value from current and future supply markets
- Regularly evaluate category and adjust strategies based on changing market conditions
- Ensure Category Strategies balance regulatory requirements imposed upon GDIT by its customers
- Solve process, supplier performance and market-disruption problems
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- 3+ years of corporate, commercial, or FAR regulated supply chain experience
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of FAR and its compliance requirements
- Experience managing complex projects
- Excellent written/oral communication skills at all levels of the company
- Demonstrated knowledge of full lifecycle SCM-related topic areas including strategic sourcing, contract types, bid sheet structures, proposal analyses, and contract negotiations
- US Citizenship required
