About the role

  • Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to design systems and products for CMS Marketplace initiatives.
  • Responsible for full lifecycle responsive design: content-first design, logic flows, storyboards, personas, wireframes, mock-ups, sitemaps, high fidelity prototypes, and UI specs.
  • Work in an Agile environment with product owners, business analysts, and developers to define UI-related business requirements.
  • Construct page designs using prototyping tools such as Axure, Balsamiq and/or Sketch.
  • Craft UX engagements in GUI environments, partnering with product stakeholders and advocating human-centered design best practices.
  • Analyze usage metrics for trends and UX optimization opportunities.
  • Analyze, document and communicate system and business processes and facilitate development of system solutions.
  • Conduct software presentations and provide technical support to customers.
  • Assist in roadmap breakdown into epics and user stories; draft user stories with agile team and stakeholders.
  • Participate as a domain expert in customer-facing meetings regarding provider enrollment initiatives.
  • Interview and interface with value streams to obtain business requirements and support requirement metrics collection and reporting.
  • Provide implementation support, training resources, and research strategies to enhance requirements gathering processes.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.
  • Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of total work experience.
  • User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design experience, for dynamic, database or bootstrap driven web sites, mobile devices or content management systems.
  • Experience using Axure to design wireframes and low, mid and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Experience developing user personas.
  • Experience creating journey maps and documenting user journeys.
  • Exposure to planning and conducting user research, usability testing and design validation.
  • Understanding of human-centered design (HCD) patterns and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Government regulations, including Section 508 compliance and accessibility.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Salesforce Strategy Designer and/or Salesforce User Experience (UX) Designer certification(s ) preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Familiarity with developing standards-compliant front-end code for websites, web applications, and mobile solutions using HTML, CSS and JavaScript driven framework, such as Angular or React preferred
  • Familiarity with web design and front-end development using HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java Scripts and jQuery preferred
