About the role
- Maintain litigation files from inception to resolution
- Conduct legal research and identify relevant laws, regulations, statutes, and court options
- Review, organize, and analyze evidence
- Maintain and monitor calendars for key deadlines and court dates
- Identify and collect documents for production requests
- Perform research and analysis of courts and jurisdictions, including trends
- Review deposition transcripts and draft summaries
- Prepare for mediation by creating event timelines, compiling supporting documents, and preparing file summaries
- Organize and label documents and exhibits for use in legal proceedings, hearings, and trials
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in a paralegal role supporting litigation in a law firm or in-house legal department (required)
- Experience with any e-Discovery platform
- Experience with matter management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications (e.g., Word®, Excel®, Outlook®, PowerPoint®)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
