About the role

  • Work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical vision and specific solutions needed to solve business and customer problems.
  • Break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
  • Support cross-functional teams focused on improving the customer experience, modernizing our experience and platforms, and leapfrogging the competition to grow and maintain market share.
  • Lead cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery.
  • Synthesize business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into requirements.
  • Own and prioritize the long-term (6+ months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, ensuring that all the right resources are aligned to ensure team success.
  • Leverage modern architecture & great design to identify problem-solution fit.
  • Evaluate trade-offs and negotiate requirements.
  • Create and use compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (ex. Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Progress Updates, etc.).
  • Understand current and future state architecture.
  • Evaluate and decompose user needs into technical features and stories.
  • Hands-on experience with building, implementing, and monitoring API’s.
  • Identify and measure KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates.
  • Have an end-to-end understanding of features and how they fit into the larger ecosystem to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business.
  • Coach and mentor other Product Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in Product Management
  • At least 5 years of experience translating features into consumer or associate facing products
  • At least 5 years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • At least 5 years leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery
  • At least 3 years of experience building and shipping technical products
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science
  • Agile certifications preferred (i.e., SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgile, PMI-ACP).
