About the role
- Post Sales support of customer issue.
- Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline.
- Own the resolution of post-sales technical customer issues.
- Level 1,2,3 Technical Support – Resolves post sales Technical Issues.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
- Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering field or other technical area and 2 years in generator or turbine controls
- high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in generator or turbine controls
- Power generation experience.
- Experience with GE Control System products.
- Power Plant Controls Troubleshooting & Technical Support Experience.
- Experience working with global teams and previous global responsibilities
- Proficiency with computer tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify challenges, resolve effectively, and deliver results.
- Effective decision making skills that leads to long term customer & business success.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach/mentor effectively.
- Strong agent of change with focus on executing efficiently in a complex, diverse and dynamic cross-functional global matrix organization.
- Demonstrated ability to drive solutions in a matrix organization and partner with a global network of stakeholders to deliver results.
- Proven track record of delivering results and leading teams in a dynamic business environment.
- Self-motivated, self-starter capable of remaining flexible to changing work priorities.
- Strong Organizational, Analytic, and problem-solving skills.
