About the role

  • Provide in-depth knowledge and guidance on general accounting principles and practices
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
  • Lead month-end / quarter-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide training and mentorship to accounting staff on general accounting principles and practices
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in general accounting, with a focus on complex accounting principles and practices
  • Proven experience in financial transaction processing and policy development
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
