About the role
- Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer site locations
- Perform troubleshooting activities during scheduled Port visits or at sea
- Develop documentation for commissioning and maintenance procedures, as well as customer training
- Execute on-site project management and technical leader duties
- Identify sales opportunities for services and upgrades
- Provide on-call support for customer service requests
- Assist in growth and direction of the North American business
- Complete timely service reports and administrative requirements
- Work on-board vessels following safety guidelines during ship construction
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- OR Associate's Degree in related discipline with a minimum of 5 additional years of related industry experience
- OR High School diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience
- Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice
- US Person with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects (desired)
- Previous Marine Industry Experience (desired)
- Physically fit to board vessels offshore (desired)
- Ability to pass a Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) and offshore survival course (for offshore roles, desired)
- Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with MS Office applications
