About the role
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, and external suppliers
- Estimate project implementation cycles for developing and applying new and innovative equipment designs
- Design next generation products by optimizing trades between performance, cost, and reliability
- Conduct root cause analysis and execute corrective action for reliability, quality, and/or performance issues
- Drive resolution of such issues with appropriate sense of urgency
- Visit gas turbine power plant sites for customer coordination and resolution of emergent field issues
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering field
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical stress, structural evaluation, and flow analysis
- Experience with engineering tools such as AUTOPIPE, FLOINHANCE, ANSYS (CFD & FEA), STADD, HYSYS
- System level thinking, system integration, and customer satisfaction mindset
- Good attitude, self-starter, clear thinker, capable of identifying solutions to problems and driving them to prompt resolution
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Ability to mentor early career engineers in technical analysis
