About the role
- Provide Technical Leadership to a group of Engineers and Contractors in activities related to analyses, calculations and technical evaluations
- Develop project work schedules and provide input to team priorities
- Mentor and provide technical leadership for mechanical systems on the BWRX-300 including the steam turbine, turbine auxiliaries, main condenser, condensate, and feedwater systems
- Support the BWRX-300 certification processes for GE Products to address all US NRC (or other nuclear regulator) design certification requirements
- Manage the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned systems using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited college or University
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a engineering role, with work in mechanical or process system design
- Ability and Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Nuclear Industry knowledge / experience
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering (preferred)
- Familiarity with multiple phases of the EPC project lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and mechanical design fundamentals
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the United States or Canada (preferred)
