Requirements

  • over 5 years of experience in the field of grid integration of FACTS systems
  • ability to lead and support the work of other engineers through verbal and written instructions, reviews, and approval processes
  • possess an analytical and innovative approach to problem-solving
  • manage and optimize multivariable FACTS systems in a complex and competitive business environment
  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • major should be in Power Electronics, Power System Analysis, Transmission and Distribution Systems, Power Systems and Markets, Renewable Energy, Smart Grids, or Alternative Technologies in Power & Energy
  • additional studies in Automation, Signal Processing, Control Systems, or Programming would provide a strong background
  • in-depth understanding of compensation systems, power system analysis, and modeling
  • understanding of power electronics, power system controls
  • experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD, Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSS/E, ATP, or ETAP
  • ability to take a leading role in challenging engineering tasks/work packages and guide other engineers in a business-oriented environment
  • familiarity with international, national, and customer-specific standards for electrical systems and the design and integration of FACTS systems
  • strong collaboration skills and a problem-solving mindset
  • excellent prioritizing and time management skills
  • good documentation, communication, and presentation skills
  • fluent written and oral English skills; additional language skills are a benefit.
