About the role
- As a key member of the GSI Supply Chain Finance team you will be responsible for collaborating with Sourcing, Engineering, 6 Regions and Manufacturing facilities to drive cost deflation (margin enhancement) and cash flow improvement
- Implement the GE Vernova Electrification sourcing finance metrics
- Provide forecasts, reports, analysis and influence the inflation/deflation and PPV of direct material commodities
- Support sourcing’s strategic negotiations and drive productivity, deflation, and cash flow optimization
- Lead sourcing analytics and metric reporting for GSI Inventory and cash management
- Support the factory leaders to understand the material flows and delivery requirements
- Optimize Working capital performance around delivery requirements and cashflows
- Work with sourcing to optimize payment terms with suppliers striking the right trade offs between pricing and cash
- Support initiatives like supplier diversification programs onboarding new/dual/multiple suppliers for critical long lead components, large supplier/account onboarding including financial & risk assessment, vendor financing etc
- Oversee the planning and forecasting of key material market trends supporting the Sourcing teams in planning cycles
- Support the overall annual standard price process in providing key material trends and analysis to the plant finance leaders
- Develop and oversee the key sourcing finance processes and performance indicators through the lens of lean, implement standard work, develop digitized solutions, eliminate waste via continuous improvement in your areas of influence
- Partner with the Supply chain team and process tools team to ensure accuracy on data used
- Help to implement improvements aligned to new reporting methods for GE Vernova
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, economics or Finance from an accredited college or university or the same knowledge/experience
- Proven experience in finance, accounting, and / or sourcing, at least 5 – 7 years
- Strong understanding of finance principles, Supply chain and manufacturing concepts and accounting standards
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize effectively
- Established analytical, project management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs
- Demonstrated team leadership ability
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills in a matrix organization
- Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
- Ability to work with remote and cross functional/cultural teams
