About the role

  • responsible for driving process improvement
  • ensuring the team meets or exceeds established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • act as a primary point of contact for complex DOE Award issues
  • providing guidance and direction to team members
  • Develop, implement, and sustain process improvements
  • Collaborate with the Government Operations Lean & Compliance Leader and other Team Members
  • Establish and track KPIs related to Financial Assistance Agreements and Other User Agreements
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies
  • Prepare and negotiate complex DOE Awards/CRADA agreement terms and conditions
  • Actively support Project Teams
  • Drive all contract negotiations
  • Complete hands-on order entry of incoming contract documents into the designated ERP system
  • Assist in the development of award and contract administration procedures
  • Prepare Representations and Certifications on behalf of the company
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in award and contract administration
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or other related discipline
  • minimum of 10 years of business experience
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex Government awards
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to review award documents for sufficiency and risk
  • Extensive organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task with a high degree of accuracy and detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with both U.S. Government and commercial contracts, including 2 CFR Part 200, DFAR, DEAR, CAS, Uniform Guidance, and commercial terms
  • Strength in analytical skills
  • US citizenship required, with legal authorization to work in the U.S.
