About the role

  • Facilitate Safe delivery of WTG Power Production through continual improvement and standardization of corrective and preventative maintenance activities, increasing the organizations capabilities to First Time Fix faults and perform best in class scheduled service.
  • Ensure safe site maintenance operations are carried out, with high standards of quality, delivered to budget and according to the defined schedule, recording and tracking relevant KPI's and reporting on progress, deviations to plans and mitigation.
  • Expedite readiness of standardized technical solutions that enable high performance delivery of SQDC targets in collaboration with our customers.

  • Defend the GE Lean program, introducing and implementing LEAN foundation.
  • Facilitate clear ownership from customer to technology teams and enables high levels of customer service from early in the project.
  • Monitor and manage the production-based availability metrics within your area of responsibility and ensure that the transparent recording and reporting is aligned with the customer.
  • Run the production-based availability operational plan that amplifies the synergies between operator and GE through advanced setup and ensures high levels of production.
  • Centralization of the documentation localization and deployment process (customer discussions and approval processes, engineering coordination for improvements etc).
  • Readiness for operationalization of the Maintenance Instructions and Troubleshoot guides into deployable and planned work packages, (combining documentation, part requirements, customer approvals and consents, PPE, tooling, special tooling requirements, bagging and kitting of equipment).
  • Support the development and continual improvement of standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure successful execution of deployable work scopes by facilitating the implementation of a safe system of work (LV, HV, WTSR, Electrical Requirements).
  • Support the establishment of the competency framework, authorization panels and technician competency development.
  • Facilitate alarm handling feedback to ensure continual improvement and standardization of corrective maintenance documentation and processes.
  • Liaising with central engineering teams to facilitate issue prioritization, root cause investigation effort, corrective action implementation plans, and preventative action programmed of work.
  • Development of understanding of the wind turbine technology, enabling improved conclusions on technical prioritization.
  • Establish fault handling processes utilizing business systems to enable efficient and standardized mobilization of technicians offshore.
  • Use of Problem-Solving Report and DMAIC to steer the continual improvement culture within your area of responsibility, ensuring high quality knowledge is retained and improved, facilitating feedback to the required stakeholders across the business.
  • Review the latest GE safety, quality and local safety information and make sure this is understood by the site team with the creation of toolbox talks.
  • Participate in process, quality and safety improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons earned to the site management team.
  • Analyse and evaluate associated site lifting plans and operations to maintain consistent safe working practices.
  • Review of preventative and corrective maintenance procedures, ensuring they are operationally deployable and have been assessed for suitability from a local EHS perspective.
  • Support the review of turbine work scopes to ensure risks are identified and have been correctly captured and mitigated prior to work execution.
  • This role will work on a rotation basis on a service operations vessel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline plus 3 years of experience leading projects in Field Services or Commissioning OR HSED/GED or professional education / apprenticeship in a technical discipline and 5 years of experience leading projects in Field Services or Commissioning.
  • Capable of working offshore at site operational wind farms.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Ability to properly use safety equipment.
  • Must maintain a weight restriction under 230lbs.
  • Successful offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline.
  • High motivation level; self-starter with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • High capability with various office and cloud-based software.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems in a structured manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to Steer Projects.
  • Demonstrated experience heading technician teams.
