About the role

  • Develop and execute sourcing and category management strategies aligned with global and regional business objectives
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration with facilities, EHS, security, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and core business stakeholders to ensure aligned decision‑making and seamless project execution
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure suppliers meet all quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct market and industry research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to support informed sourcing decisions
  • Drive initiatives focused on cost optimization, risk mitigation, operational continuity, and sustainability
  • Lead or support supplier transitions, audits, capability assessments, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor category performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality systems, governance frameworks, and legal requirements
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members or direct reports to support capability development and high performance
  • Support and contribute to global and regional sourcing programs, transformation initiatives, and strategic projects

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Sourcing or Category Management
  • Knowledge base equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of relevant sourcing experience)
  • Proven track record in Indirect Sourcing, ideally in Facilities & Utilities or other related categories
  • Proven experience leading global sourcing and category management activities, including strategy development, supplier selection, and execution across multiple regions
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, including SOWs, pricing structures, commercial terms, and supplier agreements that deliver optimal outcomes including cost savings and innovation
  • Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, including managing, developing, and coaching direct reports or project teams to achieve high performance
  • Strong ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization, leveraging analytics and insights to build business cases, influence senior leadership, and drive change
  • Proficiency in developing complex RFx packages, should‑cost models, scorecards, and award criteria
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to document, plan, execute, and communicate programs effectively
  • High level of adaptability, urgency, and integrity, with the ability to perform in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
  • Strong technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluency in English with other languages a plus
  • Ability to travel and engage with global stakeholders outside typical business hours when necessary
