About the role

  • Support Managing Directors and senior leaders in executing a broad range of business development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, joint ventures, partnerships/alliances, and licensing.
  • Lead multiple phases of the transaction lifecycle, including inorganic strategy development, market and competitive analysis, target identification and screening, deal structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable growth plans by conducting portfolio and gap analyses to identify opportunities that strengthen the business unit portfolio and accelerate growth.
  • Partner with business unit, functional, and regional leaders to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective decision‑making throughout transaction and approval processes.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior stakeholders by applying deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to inform investment decisions.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent initiatives in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment while maintaining high standards of analytical rigor, execution excellence, and professional integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of relevant business development experience in mergers and acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, and/or joint ventures within a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting work within the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and/or leading key elements of complex transactions, including strategic analysis, target evaluation, valuation, due diligence, and negotiations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear recommendations and executable actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate teams in a matrix organization while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High standards of integrity and professionalism, with a demonstrated commitment to ethical decision making and accountability.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
