About the role
- Perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of a variety of GE Precision Healthcare imaging systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on imaging equipment according to established schedules and procedures to maximize uptime and extend equipment lifespan
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, breakdowns, and malfunctions on imaging systems
- Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize impact on clinical operations
- Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper operation and basic troubleshooting of GE imaging equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records
- Manage inventory of spare parts and tools
- Collaborate effectively with sales, applications, and technical support teams to address customer needs
- Adhere to all GE Precision Healthcare and customer safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent military training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience servicing complex medical imaging equipment, preferably with GE Healthcare products
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair intricate electronic, mechanical, and software issues on high-end medical devices
- Strong understanding of networking principles and IT infrastructure as it relates to medical imaging systems (PACS, DICOM)
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and service management software.
