About the role

  • Perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of a variety of GE Precision Healthcare imaging systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on imaging equipment according to established schedules and procedures to maximize uptime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, breakdowns, and malfunctions on imaging systems
  • Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize impact on clinical operations
  • Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper operation and basic troubleshooting of GE imaging equipment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools
  • Collaborate effectively with sales, applications, and technical support teams to address customer needs
  • Adhere to all GE Precision Healthcare and customer safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent military training
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience servicing complex medical imaging equipment, preferably with GE Healthcare products
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair intricate electronic, mechanical, and software issues on high-end medical devices
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and IT infrastructure as it relates to medical imaging systems (PACS, DICOM)
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and service management software.
