About the role

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to accelerate cash collections, reduce DSO, and maximize working capital efficiency for the International Region
  • Manage the region cash collection resources and oversee all aspects of cash collection processes and outcomes
  • Lead a team of 3-4 cash leaders and provide guidance to zone cash teams (total 30-35)
  • Centralize reporting, forecasting & analysis; drive forecasting accuracy and accountability against targets
  • Drive billing quality, predictability, cash standardization, simplification, and delivery model/outsourcing strategy
  • Analyze customer payment behavior, aging reports, and credit profiles to prioritize collections and minimize bad debt exposure
  • Implement best practices and technology solutions to streamline collections workflows and improve efficiency
  • Oversee working capital initiatives including accounts receivable, unbilled, and inventory; partner cross-functionally to implement improvements
  • Develop and implement credit risk strategies and prepare/present financial reports and KPI insights to senior leadership
  • Lead continuous improvement and change management to ensure adoption of new processes and technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with relevant accounting background
  • Strong previous experience in a regional leadership role in finance cash management, controllership, Financial planning & analysis
  • Big picture thinking/creative problem solving ability to identify roadblocks and find solutions
  • Excellent communication skills; experience working across different levels (incl C-suite); able to synthesize complexity and communicate concisely verbally and on PowerPoint
  • Effective people management skills and ability to influence in a matrix organization
  • Highly organized, self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong analytic skills & precision with numbers; able to link financial results to operational drivers and drive change
  • Integrity and adherence to high moral, ethical, and personal values
  • Solid Excel skills; experience with financial modelling
  • Preferred: Graduate of GE's FMP, OFLP or CAS or other financial leadership programs
  • Preferred: Experience in large industrial multinational companies
  • Preferred: Matured leadership and strong influencing skills across business functions
  • Preferred: Adaptable/flexible under high work stress and ambiguous situations
