About the role
- Drive quality metrics for commodity team, including action plan preparation and implementation
- Direct projects and teams for timely resolution of quality escapes, CIDs, SPRs and other key/critical processes
- Own supplier metrics, actively working with suppliers to close CAPA's and improvements utilizing supplier scorecards
- Documenting and driving improvement plans where needed
- Mentor and facilitate Team Members for emerging QEMs and other aspects of Supplier Quality and Quality Manager’s roles
- Utilize problem solving tools to develop and manage action plans to meet key metrics
- Support complex issues and escapes by leading coordination of resources, preparing communications, creating and closing action items
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain related fields)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality, Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain related fields
- Preferred experience with Investment Casting product and/or process engineering
- Strong knowledge of GE Quality IT systems
- Strong knowledge of GE Quality Specifications and non-conformance resolution processes
