About the role
- Report to the MRO Value Engineering Leader in the MRO Technology & Cost group
- Drive improvements in component repair by partnering with cross-functional teams
- Participate in special process auditing of the GE MRO network
- Utilize FLIGHT DECK tools to systematically solve rework issues
- Create and facilitate training for network SPOs in machining
- Execute special process auditing based on GE Aerospace quality requirements
- Enable flow lines in the ATMRO network to reduce TAT
- Communicate with and provide recommendations to management on technical issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or at least 8 years of experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
- At least 6 years of experience in machining Aerospace hardware, preferably in aircraft engine component repair
- Knowledge of overhaul and component repair processes
- Ability to program CNC machining centers
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Ability to travel 50% to international destinations, including but not limited to: USA, Brazil, United Kingdom, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan
