About the role

  • Report to the MRO Value Engineering Leader in the MRO Technology & Cost group
  • Drive improvements in component repair by partnering with cross-functional teams
  • Participate in special process auditing of the GE MRO network
  • Utilize FLIGHT DECK tools to systematically solve rework issues
  • Create and facilitate training for network SPOs in machining
  • Execute special process auditing based on GE Aerospace quality requirements
  • Enable flow lines in the ATMRO network to reduce TAT
  • Communicate with and provide recommendations to management on technical issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or at least 8 years of experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • At least 6 years of experience in machining Aerospace hardware, preferably in aircraft engine component repair
  • Knowledge of overhaul and component repair processes
  • Ability to program CNC machining centers
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Ability to travel 50% to international destinations, including but not limited to: USA, Brazil, United Kingdom, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan
