About the role

  • Supports the development and execution of an integrated industrial base strategy and roadmap to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) ambitions
  • Orchestrates cross-functional teams to identify critical value streams, industrialize breakthrough solutions, and execute prioritized initiatives that optimize the industrial base in support of current and future products and customer needs
  • Develops and executes the industrial base strategy, aligning value streams to the right source and optimizing make/buy decisions
  • Identifies, prioritizes, and closes value stream gaps to improve performance, productivity, delivery, and quality
  • Industrializes and scales solutions that shift value-chain economics, strengthen resilience, and accelerate SQDC improvement
  • Maintains an integrated roadmap and operating cadence that drives timely decisions, measurable outcomes, and sustained impact across functions
  • Builds a fact-based view of industry structure, supplier economics, and risk exposure for essential value streams
  • Defines core vs non-core boundaries and partnership models to guide strategic own/partner decisions
  • Translates strategy into a prioritized initiative portfolio with clear business cases, investments, owners, and timelines
  • Communicates strategy and initiatives effectively to internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers; drives alignment and adoption across levels
  • Leads structured assessments to baseline capacity, yield/quality, delivery, and cost by value stream
  • Identifies critical bottlenecks and constraints; implements targeted actions to close gaps and verify sustainment
  • Optimizes value impact through source alignment, footprint decisions, and process improvements
  • Drives bias for action—shortens decision cycles and delivers measurable SQDC improvements
  • Establishes and runs decision forums and action plans; assigns owners, due dates, and success metrics
  • Tracks milestones, risks, and benefits realization; escalates blockers and reallocates resources as needed
  • Coordinates cross-functional owners across Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance
  • Leads the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating principles
  • Builds dashboards for TTIs and PPIs; monitors trends and aging; implements corrective and preventive actions
  • Conducts monthly operating reviews and quarterly strategy refreshes; updates the roadmap based on results
  • Codifies lessons learned; updates standard work, templates, and playbooks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, sourcing, or strategy/transformation within complex manufacturing experience
  • Experience leading large-scale cross-functional programs with measurable SQDC impact
  • Strategic consulting experience at an established firm or equivalent transformation leadership
  • Strong financial and analytical skills: ability to understand and interpret financial statements; NPV/run-rate modeling, cost/benefit analyses, and sensitivity modeling
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual problem solving; comfort with quantitative analysis
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal); ability to influence without authority and work effectively across all levels
  • Experience with value stream mapping, capacity modeling, and supplier development/negotiations
