About the role

  • Own IT oversight of the manufacturing floor, including proactive monitoring, operational support, and end-to-end network connectivity
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to maintain, develop, and enhance machine data collection systems that enable business intelligence and decision-making
  • Rapidly respond to and resolve critical service outages that severely impact shop operations, supporting a 24x7 environment
  • Support machine installation, cabling, and configuration required for network integration
  • Provide site support for DT initiatives, projects, SQDIP priorities, and basic network, hardware, and software needs
  • Maintain server room equipment and network switch closets, including upgrades, monitoring, environmental controls, and connectivity
  • Influence within the immediate working team and contribute to implementation of key elements of the technology roadmap
  • Perform day-to-day operational activities related to shop connectivity and digital operations
  • Lead small projects with minimal oversight, delivering solutions that meet industry best practices and customer expectations
  • Drive continuous improvement and stability of the IT/OT environment, simplifying and standardizing processes where possible
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and aligned solutions
  • Operate effectively in high-stress situations, providing reliable support in a 24x7 production context
  • Occasional need for a 24x7 manufacturing environment with occasional off-hours or weekend work during incidents, maintenance windows, or cutovers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 1 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 6 years of professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • Basic understanding of MS SQL and Network Topology, including Switches, Routers, and Firewalls
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows Servers
  • Can evaluate proper installation parameters for software and hardware, for smooth integration, transition and efficiency
  • Basic technical foundation in infrastructure technologies
  • Strong knowledge of networks, vlans, and firewall concepts
  • Experience with industrial controllers and HMIs
