About the role

  • The Level 2 Engineer provides intermediate technical support in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for provisioning, deployment, and ongoing operations and maintenance of all managed network services.
  • Work the networking ticket queue and directly support customer escalations.
  • Provide client consultation: perform analyses of customer security needs and recommend, design, and implement secure server and network environments.
  • Provide technology support: install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot servers, networks, firewalls, VPNs, and other security products.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding in network design.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to convey technical requirements and concepts to technical and non-technical clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communications, problem solving and process management skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment in a matrixed organization.
  • Must have good knowledge in Cisco routers and Switches.
  • Good to have knowledge in Aruba Switches.
  • Must have Knowledge in Firewalls - Palo Alto/Cisco ASA/Cisco firepower/Juniper SRX/Fortinet.
  • Must have good knowledge in Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco IM&P.
  • Basic understanding in SIP, H323 Gateways and Expressway connectors.
  • Good to have knowledge in Cisco Contact Center Xpress, Cisco Expressways, and MGCP Gateways.
  • Certifications: CCNA - Must for Network and Security L2, CCNP Collaboration - Good to have for UC L2, CCNP Enterprise - Good to have, ACSA - Good to have, ACSP - Good to have.
