About the role
- Take end-to-end ownership of ~60 recurring reports, from data ingestion and transformation to final delivery and maintenance.
- Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines and ETL workflows using SQL to ingest data from gaming platforms, CRM systems, and external providers.
- Automate reporting workflows using SQL, schedulers, and APIs to minimize manual effort and ensure timely delivery.
- Own regulatory reporting pipelines for Ontario (iGO) and other jurisdictions, ensuring audit readiness and clear data lineage.
- Develop analytics-ready datasets (facts, dimensions, aggregates) that serve as the "single source of truth."
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Finance to translate business questions into scalable data models.
- Implement validation checks and reconciliations to ensure 100% data accuracy across all financial and operational reports.
Requirements
- 4+ years in data analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering with a focus on production data pipelines.
- Strong ability to build ETL/ELT jobs and automation scripts.
- Expert-level skills in designing queries for performance and correctness.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and data modeling principles.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Consistency is key. You must be able to commit to approximately 20 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
- Nice-to-Have: Prior experience in iGaming, sportsbook, fintech, or high-volume payment environments.
- Experience with iGO (Ontario) regulatory reporting requirements.
- Marketing analytics experience (attribution modeling, conversion funnels).
