• Assist producers and editors with the daily editorial process
• Develop story ideas
• Conduct research across all beats
• Organize and secure stories from the audio library
• Write and prepare web stories

Frontline Editorial Internship

• Work closely with the editorial staff of NOVA’s broadcast television program
• Gain experience in research and development for broadcast television
• Participate in editorial meetings
• Fact-check film scripts
• Research storylines for upcoming programs
• Identify potential sources to interview for documentaries
• Review films for potential acquisition
• Review past films for rebroadcast
• Develop ideas for future programs

Broadcast Research Internship

• Providing support to the production, post-production, digital, and brand marketing & audience development teams
• Researching production locations
• Logging footage
• Cleaning transcript files
• Timing out shows and lower thirds for show delivery
• Assisting with various marketing and social media tasks

Operations

• Lead all business, operational, and administrative functions for American Experience
• Act as key liaison with PBS Distribution and manage administrative aspects of fundraising
• Provide input and editorial guidance on series finances and budgeting
• Partner with senior management on programming schedules and compile PBS proposals
• Develop and manage professional relationships with various stakeholders
• Act as series principal contact with Human Resources for hiring and staff development
